Plaintiffs' Employment Litigation - 1998 is specifically designed for plaintiff lawyers who represent individual employees or union members in discrimination or wrongful termination matters. This one-day seminar will give lawyers on the firing line help in trial and litigation strategies by providing an update of some of the key laws, governmental regulations, and employment practices that affect the employment relationship.
This seminar is sponsored by the National Employment Lawyers Association- Hawai'i Chapter with support from the Consumer Lawyers of Hawai'i (CLH). NELA, a national organization of over 3,000 plaintiffs lawyers, was founded in 1985 to provide assistance and support to lawyers in protecting the rights of employees against the greater resources of their employers and the defense bar. NELA is the country's only professional organization that is comprised exclusively of lawyers whose practice is comprised of at least 51% representation of employees in cases involving employment discrimination, wrongful termination, employee benefits and other employment related matters. CLH is a professional association of Hawai'I plaintiffs' attorneys. CLH is the Hawai'i affiliate of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
