The
Star
of Bethlehem, as documented within these pages,
is
the
only verifiable archaeological artifact ever discovered which
supports
Matthew's biblical account of the "star"
For
almost
2000 years "The Star of Bethlehem" has been the subject of a continuing
search which has produced
thousands of papers, articles, books and theories but no
truly
plausible
explanation of the star.
After
seven years of research in the field of Astronomy and Western Astrology
I located a phenomenal "star" which, I am certain, is the historical
"Star
of Bethlehem". The timing of the "star's" appearance conforms perfectly
with the historical time frame established in the gospels and its
presence
defies portions of our contemporary scientific paradigm.
The
Star represents an example of "random chaos" because it explodes
current
academic beliefs regarding the astronomical skills of "the ancients"
and
highlights the sheer, almost unimaginable, brilliance of Matthew's
gospel.
This
presentation gathers support from The Old and New Testaments, Sir Isaac
Newton's Chronology, The Ancient Universal History, Ptolemy's
TETRABIBLOS,
measurements taken at The Great Pyramid at Giza, a study of ancient and
contemporary astrological practices, 20 years of personal spiritual and
metaphysical investigation, the science of astronomy, The Five Books of
M. Manilius and various writings attributed to Plato.
The
existence of this incredible star powerfully confronts our cultural
paradigm.
It encourages us to review the past and to reconsider some of our
beliefs
in a new light. Information is presented which suggests that Matthew's
gospel was "the original" writing which strongly influenced Luke, Mark
and John. Matthew's gospel includes the only
historical account of the magnificent star which guided the
Magi to
the Christ.
The
Magi, according to historical writings, were unsurpassed in their
wisdom
and knowledge of things astrological and astronomical. It was, in fact,
the Persian Magi, applying "ancient
astrological methods", who predicted the birth of Christ. I
have
located
the star which inspired that prophesy and it leads to the precise birth
date and time of the biblical Jesus Christ and also, to the lost "capstone"
of The Great Pyramid.
The
search for the star gradually lead to a place where no one else had
looked
before, the heliocentric (Sun centered) solar system. I was taught that
the ancients believed in an "earth centered" universe and that they
knew
nothing about the Earth's orbit around the Sun, and that they were not
aware of the outer planets. I believed this until January of 1997 when
I found the Star of a King, in a place where it was not "supposed"
to
be!
