The Liljestrand House
A visit to architect Vladimir Ossipoff's Hawaii Masterpiece. The house is listed on the Hawaii State and United States National Registers of Historic Places.
The original owners of the house, Howard and Betty Liljestrand, hired Vladimir Ossipoff to design and build their house on Tantalus mountain overlooking the city of Honolulu.
A sea of lights.
The house was mostly completed in 1952 but took several more years of work until it was ready to be showcased on the cover of the 1958 issue of House Beautiful magazine.

Here's a view from part of the living room. The large sliding windows allow the outside in and the many eucalyptus trees outside help keep flies and mosquitos away.
En-chanting.
A nice view of Diamond Head from the terrace just outside the kitchen and diningroom.
